Follow IT Service Announcements on Twitter

CQUniversity students and staff can follow IT service announcements on Twitter at http://twitter.com/cqunitech.

This week the Information Technology Division (ITD) will start using Twitter to provide students and staff with regular announcements about CQUniversity’s IT services, systems and resources.

Here are some of the reasons why ITD is using Twitter:

• It is a quick and easy way to keep students and staff informed about what’s happening with IT at CQUniversity.
• If a service is unavailable, students and staff can check the recent tweets to see if there have been any updates or to find out if the service has been restored.
• Each announcement can be followed by staff and students already using Twitter.
• Staff and students that aren’t familiar with Twitter can bookmark the page (http://twitter.com/cqunitech) and check is regularly as a reference.

While regular announcements about CQUniversity’s IT services are now being updated on Twitter, the ITD Service Centre will continue to notify staff and students of important information via email as required.
