Staff and students help make the launch of the Australian Computing Society’s Central Queensland Chapter a success

Earlier this month CQUniversity hosted the inaugural lecture and launch of the Australian Computing Society’s (ACS) Central Queensland Chapter.

The ACS is the recognised association for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Professionals, attracting a large and active membership from all levels of the ICT industry.

During the launch, guest speaker and Associate Director of the Australian Research Collaboration Services (ARCS), Nick Tate, presented an entertaining lecture on embracing collaboration technologies and the opportunities for regional Australia.

The event also provided an opportunity for Central Queensland’s ICT Professionals and CQUniversity staff and students to meet and discuss changes, challenges and opportunities for the ICT industry.
