Over 40 courses to pilot Moodle in Term 3, 2009

Preparations are underway for CQUniversity’s upcoming Moodle Pilot.

Moodle is the name of CQUniversity's new online learning system that has been selected to replace both Blackboard (also known as e-courses) and Webfuse from the start of Term 1, 2010.

To help prepare for next year's transition to Moodle, 35 online courses took part in a Moodle Pilot during Term 2, 2009. This pilot enabled CQUniversity to test Moodle in a real-life environment and gain feedback from the students and staff who were directly involved.

To enable students and staff to have further opportunity to become familiar with Moodle and provide feedback on their experiences, a second Moodle Pilot is being held in Term 3, 2009.

The Term 3 Moodle Pilot includes approximately 40 online courses. Students that enrol in courses participating in this Moodle Pilot will be formally notified by email during the first few weeks of Term 3.

The list of courses that are anticipated to take part in the Term 3, 2009 Moodle Pilot is available online. If you would like further information regarding this pilot, please contact Project Manager Jeff Santamaria at j.santamaria@cqu.edu.au.
