Upgrade of Teaching Resources on Rockhampton Campus

To enhance our technology-based learning support, the Information Technology Division has recently installed a 42 inch LCD screen in seven tutorial rooms located on Rockhampton Campus (rooms listed below).

By connecting a laptop, DVD player, VHS or other compatible device directly to a new LCD screen, staff can easily display their presentation materials on the screen for an audience to view.

While ITD’s existing technical support services are still available, the installation of these new LCD screens means that staff no longer have to book the setup of data projector equipment in these upgraded tutorial rooms.

User Support
  • To become familiar with this new resource, an overview on how to use the LCD screens is available online for you to view at your convenience.
  • User ‘cheat sheets’ have been placed along side each LCD screen in the tutorial rooms.
  • Alternatively, staff can contact the ITD Client Service Centre on the teaching space support line (ext. 2020), to receive a personal user demonstration.

Upgraded Tutorial Rooms

It is anticipated that additional LCD screens will become available in tutorial rooms throughout 2009. To enable staff to connect their laptop to a LCD screen, ITD has purchased a number of VGA cables. To be provided with a VGA cable please contact the teaching space support line (ext. 2020).
