The new My.CQU Student Portal will provide students with better access to their course information, student forums and the ability to customise pages to suit their studies.
CQUniversity is also working with Google to provide all students with new email services and online collaboration tools. Students will have access to a new lifelong CQUniversity email account, increased email storage and a range of new online collaboration tools. These tools will include features similar to:
- Google Talk – Instant messaging, online chat and video;
- Google Calendar – Students can schedule group study sessions or assignment work; and
- Google Docs – Multiple students can share, edit and collaborate on a document online in real-time.
Further information about this Term 3 Pilot is on the CQUniTECHNOLOGY website. Students and staff can also contact the ITD Service Centre if they require any technical assistance using the new My.CQU Portal and CQUniversity Mail systems.

Just logged in to the new portal and I have to say that it looks fantastic. I really like the way that all course information is displayed together with textbook information, past exams, assignments and class list. Great work!
Thank you for your feedback Lamiunto, it is very encouraging to hear.
Starting today until Tuesday 4th January 2011, an online survey is available for students (that are involved with the Term 3 Pilot) to provide anonymous feedback on what they like or think could be improved in the new My.CQU Portal and CQUniversity Mail systems.
Each student that is enrolled in a course participating in the Term 3, 2010 Pilot was sent an email earlier today, including the link to start this survey.
All of the student feedback will be collated and used to improve how the University introduces the new My.CQU Portal and CQUniversity Mail systems to all students in Term 1, 2011. For further information about the survey, please contact the ITD Service Centre at servicedesk@cqu.edu.au.
